Job summary

We are looking for nutritionists to deliver our weight management curriculum to clients on the Your Health Stockports integrated healthy lifestyle programme. You will deliver across the Integrated Wellbeing Service communicating key nutritional messages in both a group and one-to-one format.

Key to this is motivational interviewing and behavioural change skills, working through any potential barriers to adhering to the different phases of the programme and keeping patients committed to achieving their outcomes.

You will have the opportunity to attend monthly clinical supervision sessions and training sessions in order to upskill and develop whilst in the role. You will be supported by a team of specialist clinicians throughout and provided with relevant training to help you succeed in the role.

Main duties of the job

Key responsibilities include delivering weight management programmes across Stockport, supporting clients through consultations, phone, email, and secure messaging, and accurately recording measurements like height, weight, and blood pressure. You'll handle general admin tasks, respond to client queries, liaise with dietitians or doctors as needed, and use motivational interviewing techniques. The role also involves inputting data accurately, achieving KPIs, attending meetings and training, representing the organisation at events, and supporting the wider wellbeing service, including physical activity, smoking cessation, and alcohol advice.

Role Purpose:

  • To support clients throughout each phase of the programme by following the guidelines provided and escalating cases where necessary i.e. Alternative diets, analysis of food diaries etc.
  • Taking measurement accurately for instance height, weight and blood pressure.
  • To be on hand to answer phone calls, emails and messages from clients.
  • To liaise with supervising dietitian and/or doctor regarding any nutritional or medical query as appropriate.
  • General day to day admin duties.
  • To attend training and meetings when required.
  • To represent the organisation at relevant events.

Handling of sensitive data, approaching with great attention to detail.

Use motivational interviewing to influence patients.

Accurate and complete inputting of data to ensure a coherent patient pathway

Achieve contract KPIs.
