About the Role:

As Head of Service, you will lead and inspire the team, ensuring operational excellence and driving transformation of user experiences across both digital and face-to-face channels. Collaborating closely with our app development teams, youll work to integrate digital tools into our services to create a seamless user journey. Youll also work with our engineering team to develop prototypes, test products, and ensure the final product meets all requirements. From a technical perspective, youll be actively involved in every stage of the product development process.

Main duties of the job

  • Oversee daily operations for the central team to ensure outstanding service delivery and accessibility via app, virtual, and in-person options.
  • Collaborate with services nationwide to guarantee a consistent, high-quality offer that meets client and service needs.
  • Act as a product owner, partnering with app developers to enhance user experience, project management, and operational efficiency.
  • Develop and implement a self-help feature within the app, providing Tier 1 support and empowering users.
  • Embed the blended offer in each service area to ensure clients have access to dynamic Tier 2 and Tier 3 support.
  • Deliver an attractive and dynamic blended physical activity offer incorporating virtual and on-demand sessions.
  • Support content development to make our services an essential resource for clients seeking health improvements.

In This Role, You Will:

  • Lead the Central and Digital services, managing teams and stakeholders to achieve our vision.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement by collaborating with specialists across ABLs multidisciplinary team.
  • Collaboration skills with business and software development teams.
  • Work with operations teams to gather requirements, create user stories and set priorities.
  • Facilitate content development utilising expertise across the company.

  • Collaborate with the Business Intelligence team to ensure the entire patient journey, internal referrals, and outcomes are fully trackable. Leverage data analysis to steer service strategy and optimise performance, guaranteeing safe and effective service delivery.
  • Develop a comprehensive menu of support options designed to meet the unique needs of priority groups, including individuals with long-term conditions, routine and manual workers, women, older adults, and ethnic minorities.
  • Represent ABL Health at networking events and build relationships that expand our impact.
  • Produce excellent service reports encompassing contract management, performance metrics, social value impact, case studies, and comprehensive feedback from service users and internal partners.
