remote management/triage of patients.
Main duties of the job
What you will do in the role:
We focus on competency, developing talent and offer great
flexibility. If youre able to manage a varied caseload of patients
experiencing persistent pain, committed to CPD and have the desire to develop
yourself and the service, with a keen eye on improving patient care, then wed
be keen to hear from you.
The Senior Clinician in Pain will be expected to work as an
autonomous practitioner, within scope of practice and deliver a quality
clinical service meeting the clinical and operational needs of the service with
senior support as required.
They will support appropriate triaging of patients and conduct
comprehensive specialist biopsychosocial assessments. They will formulate,
deliver, review and progress individual face-to-face, telephone and video
consultations and face to face and online group programmes and ensure effective
treatment, a positive patient experience and specialist advice and timely
discharge are achieved.
The pain element of the community integrated MSK service, is
physiotherapy led and provides specialist input for people with chronic pain
and mild to moderate levels of pain related distress and disability, but who
may at times be complex. Services are community based and provide:
1) Individual and group-based pain management/rehabilitation,
delivered face to face and/or virtually (e.g., by telephone, video, digital
platform)
2) Medicines optimisation
