As an Operating Department
Practitioner, you will deliver a professional and efficient service, working
alongside your colleagues in our dynamic and fast-paced sites. As an integral
part of our clinical team, your skills as an Operating Department Practitioner
will help us to deliver on our vision to make healthcare better.
About the Connect Health Pain Services Mobile Injection Unit
The mobile injection unit has been
administering injections to NHS patients since 2016 in a range of community and
hospital locations across the country. It is fully equipped to deliver safe and
effective treatment including an X-ray machine which is used for administering
some injections, for example, spinal injections, and consists of a recovery
area, consultation area and a mini theatre set up consisting of a GE C arm,
theatre bed, ultrasound, Radiofrequency machine and a full emergency kit. The
procedures we can provide on these units vary from Facet joint injections,
Medial Branch blocks, Epidurals, Ultrasound guided injections to Radiofrequency
ablation.
Main duties of the job
Every application will

continued development our colleagues. The ideal applicant will possess the following
Demonstrable appreciation of patient care and
confidentiality
Proven knowledge of the requirements of an ODPs
role in the care of patients, their visitors and carers, and to colleagues
Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
Implications of the Data Protection Act and
Caldicott Principles
Infection Control training, Manual Handling and
Patient Transfer training, Health and Safety Awareness training, Basic Life
Support training
