Healthcare Assistant - Ultrasound Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday 09:00AM-17:30PM Area: Northeast London Salary: £25,396.80 Main Location: Ilford Exchange Health Centre, Second Floor, The Exchange Shopping Centre, Ilford IG1 1RS Alternative Locations: Barking, Havering and Redbridge Connect Health and Healthshare have come together as one organisation - Cora Health - combining our decades of experience in providing healthcare services on behalf of the NHS About the Role We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated, enthusiastic Healthcare Assistant for our Northeast London diagnostic services. Successful applicants will work across one site however flexibility is required. To succeed you must have excellent communication skills and a flexible, proactive approach to delivering first class diagnostic services and patient care. The post holder will work closely with Sonographers, supporting them with patients during their clinics. Training is provided and further career development opportunities throughout the company. Who we're looking for We are looking for a dedicated, positive, enthusiastic healthcare assistant who is willing to contribute to further development of the Endoscopy department that will deliver a safe and exceptional patient experience. You will be a valued and fundamental part of the team, caring for patients who may go on to undergo day-surgery procedures and expected to promote the highest levels of quality healthcare. The post-holder should possess a good general standard of literacy and numeracy, education to GCSE level or equivalent. Previous healthcare experience is desirable but training can be supported within the team. What you'll be doing Responsibilities include: Ensuring the smooth running of clinics Assisting in the care and comfort of patients Assisting Sonographers during examinations Ensuring the clinical room is prepared prior to the start of clinical sessions Using the patient information systems (Soliton/PACS) To monitor and ensure sufficient stock levels are consistently maintained in a designated clinic. To order supplies when required Ensuring and maintaining a patient centred and quality focused approach to all aspects of work Ensure patients have access to a chaperone at all times Uphold Healthshare's professional standards policy Uphold data protection and patient confidentiality at all times Requirements: Good communication skills Basic computer skills Flexible in approach to work Ability to be tactful and diplomatic Good organisational skills Previous experience within a healthcare environment is desirable UK applications only We are Cora Health Cora is a leading provider of community healthcare services in the UK.
