Youll help to make sure that every one of our patients receives the greatest care and support possibleAs a Specialist Practitioner in Fertility Care, youll provide information and advice on our treatments to patients, as well as any emotional support. Youll co-ordinate treatment cycle plans, coach our patients to self-administer fertility drugs, and care for our patients pre and post theatre as well as in the clinic.

Main duties of the job

The role is varied and will include:

• Performing venepuncture, interpreting and giving blood results when necessary (training will be provided for venepuncture and cannulation).
• Perform basic patient assessments, venepuncture and undertake pre-treatment consultations
• Assist in theatre procedures, including egg collections, embryo transfers, IUIs and Hy Co Sy
• Preparation of theatre, ward and maintenance of resuscitation trolley

We are very committed to our nursing/midwifery teams and share best practice across the Care group. We have monthly nurses journal clubs and support training and conferences.

Many of our nurses have extended their roles and are working as Advanced Nurse Practitioners and in time there will be opportunities to learn to perform ultrasound scanning and prescribing initially.
