A unique opportunity to advance your career in fertility nursing and researchCare Fertility Manchester in partnership with the University of Birmingham, is offering an exciting, fully funded PhD Fellowship for an experienced fertility or reproductive health nurse/midwife.This dual role allows you to combine advanced clinical practice in assisted conception with doctoral research that contributes to evidence-based improvements in reproductive medicine.

Main duties of the job

You will spend half your time providing high-quality fertility care and half undertaking PhD research.Clinical duties include fertility consultations, cycle monitoring, transvaginal ultrasound scanning, treatment coordination, and patient support throughout their fertility journey.The research element involves supervised PhD study, data collection, analysis, and publication, supported by both clinical and academic mentors.

  • Registered Nurse (Adult) or Midwife with current UK NMC registration
  • Experience in reproductive medicine, womens health, or related field
  • Competence in transvaginal ultrasound scanning
  • Strong communication skills and interest in research

Desirable

  • Nurse or Midwife Prescriber
  • Experience in IVF consultation, audit, or academic writing
  • Masters degree or equivalent
