As a Registered
Practitioner in Fertility Care at Care Fertility, you will provide advice,
information, support and clinical care throughout the patients journey. You
will work with the multi-disciplinary team in coordinating treatment cycles
and providing our patients with the best possible treatment experience and as
a team giving each patient the very best chance of success.

A registered
practitioner who works well as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering
fertility care within a clinic setting.
This
practitioner has sound general practice and is developing their expertise and
skills in fertility care.

practitioner with a UK professional regulatory body
This
practitioner has demonstratable good understanding of fertility care and has
transferrable skills from their experience of working in other clinical
settings
Can plan and
organise care and determine which aspects of a situation is important and is
therefore able to prioritise clinical care effectively and safely.
Is proficient
in the delivery of their care, continuously seeking to improve care, patient
experience and team working.
They work at
undergraduate level and are developing to graduate level working / practice.

Works

leads the effective functioning of the satellite services in partnership with
the Clinic Director and Nursing and Clinical Professionals Manager.

Undertake nurse
planning meetings with patients

patients fertility assessments using effective communication skills.
Advises on
pre-conception care based on best available evidence and clinic guidance.

well with patients and their partners, and proactively seeks feedback.
Undertakes
Folliculogram checks
Seeks a
chaperone where needed and does this aligned to the policy/guideline
Uses patient
information well to support informed decision making.
Is competent in
consent practice and procedure adhering to best practice as determined by the
HFEA.
Is competent in
all aspects of medicines management in fertility care and has successfully
completed the Care fertility medicines management competency training.
Is competent to
administer medicines intravenously and has successfully completed IV drug
administration training, always adhering to ANTT.
Competent in
using Patient Group Directives and actively engages in related CPD.
Understands the
HFEA definition of legal parenthood
Complies with
policy and actively promotes infection prevention and control, which includes
universal precautions, hand hygiene and cleaning of the clinical environment
appropriately.
Supervise and
train other members of the team to ensure standards are consistent.
Undertakes
venepuncture and cannulation are undertaken using Aseptic No Touch Technique
(ANTT) aligned to best practice policy and SOP
Ensures the
clinical record is stored and maintained in line with policy/guidance.
Supports other
members of the team when learning this skill.

the limit of their expertise and competency and always promotes patient
safety, reducing the risk of harm associated with their own practice.
Always adheres
to duty of candour and supports informed decision making.
Has
successfully completed and is up to date with safeguarding training at level
2, and as such is able to identify and escalate safeguarding concerns.

Maintain
a high level of confidentiality at all times in accordance with the HFEA Code
of Practice and Cares standard operating procedures.
Handle
patient data responsibly by completing data protection training, following
Company requirements for data protection and information governance.
Adhere
to the principles of the General Data Protection Regulation 2016 and Data
Protection Act 2018.
Maintain
knowledge and develop professionally
Be up to
date with clinical protocols, patient information and standard operating
procedures by actively participating in professional update activities
provided by the Company.
Actively
participate in the Personal Development Review process and the competency
assessment processes.
Take
ownership of your learning and skill development and engage with the learning
opportunities available. Challenge yourself to develop further.
Take
ownership of your revalidation and engage with the relevant team members to
achieve this within the timescale required.
