Job summary

Youll have regular check ins with your Quality Managers to see whats happening in their clinic, what theyve found and where you can add value

Youll collate information relevant to any event maybe a complaint, incident or audit finding of non-conformance and analyse the information using a systems approach,write up your findings and work with relevant teams to identify how we can do things better then drive change to help us do things right first time

About you

You may currently be a Case Investigator, or you may be a Complex Case Investigator, Complaints Investigating Officer, or a Case Manager

Youre good with data and metrics, youre experienced in root cause analysis and incident management. Naturally curious, youre interested in understanding why people are working the way they do youre not afraid to challenge established processes and practices

Youre a good listener with great communication skills, both written and verbal. Youre good at document writing and you can clearly translate jargon, or complex medical language into easy to digest language

Main duties of the job

Location/Benefits:

This is a hybrid role where youll primarily work from home, however youll need to visit the clinics in your region on a weekly basis (there will be a need for overnight stays maybe once a month). Your region should cover Bath, Tunbridge Wells and London, however travel to other clinics will be required

Job responsibilities

As a Case Investigator at Care, you will collate information relevant to any event a complaint, incident or audit finding of non-conformance for example and analyse the information using a systems approach to identify learning. This role is key in ensuring that everyone attending a Care clinic has the safest and best possible experience. You will be confident to collaborate with a diverse group of talented healthcare professionals to identify creative solutions for improvement where needed. You will work with the Director of Governance to ensure the continuing development and promotion of a culture of clinical effectiveness and quality improvement. The role necessarily involves travel to Care group clinics across the UK but primarily within a defined region. Case investigators should expect to travel nationally and have regular overnight stays. As a member of the Care Family, you will carry out your roles in a way that supports and delivers our shared values. You are caring, patient focused and committed to do your best. Role accountabilities and duties: Specific Duties/ Responsibilities Collect, review and weight information and/or evidence using a systems-based approach. Conduct investigative interviews with relevant individuals at all levels of seniority including patients where relevant, to ensure meaningful involvement of those affected in a learning response. Analyse information and/or evidence to identify factors that have contributed to poor experience or performance or that have led to an incident, compliant or non-conformance with regulatory requirements. Work with colleagues to identify the root cause of events and creative, effective and sustainable actions to drive improvement Draft an investigation report with conclusions referencing regulatory and /or professional standards where relevant. Encourage and promote a culture of continuous improvement. Influence and motivate Cares diverse team of healthcare professionals to implement change. Systems and digital processes Find information on the clinical patient database and follow all relevant supporting system pathways to ensure accurate record keeping and efficient and safe processes. Embrace developments and new systems to maximise results and efficiency. Suggest new ideas and improvements. Use Microsoft Outlook to communicate effectively. Teamwork and collaboration Meeting the diverse needs of our patients and colleagues by adopting an inclusive approach and embracing diversity Work collaboratively and build trusted relationships with colleagues. Confidentiality and data Maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times in accordance with the HFEA Code of Practice and Cares standard operating procedures. To handle patient data responsibility by completing training on data protection and following Company requirements on data protection and information governance. Adhere to the principles of the General Data Protection Regulation 2016 and Data Protection Act 2018. Maintain knowledge and develop professionally Actively participate in the Personal Development Review process and the competency assessment processes. Challenge yourself to develop further. Take ownership of your learning and skill development and engage with the induction, training and mandatory learning opportunities available.
