Job responsibilities

We are based at the heart of the buzzing Ilford lane , well known for the restaurants and Asian shops and a nearby Mosque. With a great location to transport links, we are a 7-10 minute distance from Barking station.

The Loxford Practice is a large purposed build polyclinic with Health visitor and midwife services, a sexual health clinic, along with dermatology, ophthalmology, community dentistry , audiology departments. Our wonderful team is multiskilled with expert Clinical Pharmacists, Physician Associates, Paramedics, FCP, Podiatrists, Health and Wellbeing Coach, and Social Prescribers. We also have a regular coffee corner and support groups and often organise various health topic talk to empower patient in managing their conditions.

The post holder is an experienced nurse who, acting within their professional boundaries, will provide care for the presenting patient from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care. They will demonstrate safe, clinical decision-making and expert care, including assessment and diagnostic skills, for patients within the general practice. The post holder will demonstrate critical thinking in the clinical decision-making process. They will work collaboratively with the general practice team to meet the needs of patients, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures, and providing nurse leadership as required. In order to work at this level NMC requirement for advanced practice must be met.

This role offers fantastic career progression as Lead ACP/ANP across sites, supporting and developing the Nursing and AHCP teams as the practice grows.

You will be able to learn and develop your skills alongside the clinical team with support and guidance from our Regional Nurse Manager and Regional Medical Director.

Desirable

• Experience in a Primary Care setting
• NMC registered nurse with advance clinical practice or working towards Non-medical prescriber
