Job summary
Reporting into the Head of Clinical Quality and Patient Safety, the Patient Safety and Quality Partner supports our OJV and Managed Service sites in all areas of quality governance & patient safety.
We are looking for a Patient Safety and Quality Partner to cover services including Leeds, Bradford, Teesside, Newcastle, Manchester, Lincolnshire, and West Cheshire, so someone based within that geographical patch would be ideal. The role holder will look after a cluster of approximately 7-8 sites and will be required to travel at least twice a week to different locations, including London and Nottingham for team meetings.
The role is home based with regular travel to the clinical sites and our office locations as and when required.
Please note we are ideally looking for someone who is able to start in post in August. We use video interviews as part of our recruitment process. If you are shortlisted, you will be asked to complete a short video interview as the next stage of the process and then final face to face interviews will be held on 25th July.
Main duties of the job
You will partner the sites in your cluster and offer your expertise and support across a variety of areas, developing solutions to help the safe delivery of care within Newmedica. You'll guide the teams on site, supporting them with action plans to embed any service improvements that may be necessary.
You'll adopt a real joined up thinking approach in all you do, ensuring any lessons learnt are shared within your cluster and with your peers. You'll be an advocate for the improvements that can be learnt from quality governance intelligence.
You'll be competent at producing governance & compliance reports and analysing data from various IT systems, working with the clinical sites regarding the outputs and articulating areas of risk or concern to senior managers and the executive team.
You'll be at the forefront when it comes to providing assurance with policy, best practice, contractual and regulatory requirements in areas of governance, undertaking reviews of policy and guidelines where required and ensuring dissemination across the business.
You'll co-ordinate Patient Safety Incident Investigations and responses and ensure that they meet the requirements of the health care regulatory environment including but not limited to Care Quality Commission (CQC) quality standards.
In short, the role has a nice balance between practical on-site support along with time to use your experience to drive quality improvement and safety.
