We have a fantastic opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join the Primary Care team at HMP Bure. HMP Bure is a Category C prison based in Norwich.
HMP Bure is a busy male prison which a capacity for around 650 inmates. There is parking on site.Hours
37.5 hours per week on a rolling 8 week rota basis Monday - Thursday - 0800 - 1930 Friday - Sunday - 0800 -1730 Some occasional weekend working required. Salary This role is full time and we offer a salary of up to £29,723 depending on experience.How will we support you?

#LI-NB1Main duties of the job
As our new Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. Some of your duties will include:
- Deliver exceptional care to patients, both in the healthcare department and on the wings
- Facilitate clinics, including bloods, observations (obs), ECGs, NHS Health checks etc
- Be involved in the implementation of clinical care packages
- Support the nursing team with all aspects of care
- Act as a second checker in pharmacy as required
- Support receptions (new patients entering the prison) and assist with triaging new patients

Our new Healthcare Assistant will:- Ideally hold an NVQ Level 2 or 3 qualification in Health & Social Care, or Care Certificate
- Experience within a healthcare setting, we are able to train the right candidate in phlebotomy.
