We have an exciting opportunity for a Patient Engagement Lead to join our Healthcare team at HMP Whatton, a category C Prison located in Nottinghamshire.
HMP Whatton is a busy prison with the capacity for around 800 males. We are recruiting for a Patient Engagement Lead to support the patients and be the presence on the wings to gain constructive feedback in order to improve the healthcare service. Your duties will also include managing stock levels, creating the weekly newsletter, weekly meetings with representatives etc.
The site has free parking and a free gym for staff to use as well as a staff canteen.Hours
This is a part time role 18.75 per week. We can be flexible with the hours and days worked.Salary
This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to £29,723 per annum FTE - depending on experience. This is the full time equivalent and will be pro rata'd for the 18.75 hours

Main duties of the job
As a Patient Engagement Lead, your responsibilities will vary. You will
- Be responsible for the improvement and stability of patient engagement activities and patient satisfaction through effective service user engagement and peer led forums, the planning and delivery of projects/programmes in line with patients needs and priorities, involving patients (where possible) in project and training delivery.
- Youll act as a point of contact and respond to patient engagement enquires from staff, external partners and patients.
- Additionally, within this role, you will be responsible for the oversight and management of the health champion peer support model, including the delivery of Health Champion training across the site.
- Youll ensure statutory and organisational requirements are met, that patient engagement activities are conducted frequently across all site with timely evaluations and feedback/recommendations are communicated with patients, staff and external partners where necessary.
