Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced podiatrist to join our Health in Justice (HiJ) Musculoskeletal (MSK) team, on a part time basis, at HMP Whatton. This is a category C men's prison in Nottinghamshire.
This role is 3 sessions per month; total number of hours are 12 hours a month.
Salary is between £40,000 - £49,0000 pro rota depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
As our podiatrist, you will:
Provide outstanding evidence-based care, advanced assessment and treatment of patients who may have complex and/or chronic presentation.You will need to determine clinical diagnosis and clinical treatment, and maintain records as an autonomous practitioner.
Assess and treat a range of conditions including diabetic patients, wound management, MSK pathologies and nail surgery.
Deliver non-judgemental care, building therapeutic relationships and promoting professional boundaries. Playing an active part in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patients care, following our policies and procedures.
Inspire excellence in your colleagues by being pro-active in the management of foot, ankle and lower extremity conditions and motivate the wider team to identify patients at high risk. You will forge strong working relationships with the Practice Plus Group healthcare team and the wider Health in Justice Service.
Be responsible for your own caseload and waiting list and be able to work as an autonomous practitioner.
