We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Liaison & Diversion Practitioner to join our team in South Yorkshire.

Hours - 30 hours per week Monday to Friday; hours to be discussed.

Salary -This position is part time and you will receive a salary of £65,000 to £75,000 FTE depending on experience

Main duties of the job

As a Clinical Psychologist your responsibilities will vary. You will  

  • You will guide and support a team of clinicians to the effective running of MHTR pathway by being a trauma informed, motivated and supportive team member. You will deliver evidence-based assessments/interventions, consultations and will support the service users journey. 
  • Working in partnership with The Police, The National Probation Service, HM Courts & Tribunals Service, Drug and Alcohol Support Services, and the wider Liaison and Diversion Services, you will lead a therapeutic team which has the primary goal of improving health care outcomes and reducing reoffending for those who are experiencing mental health difficulties. 

  • You will oversee, conduct and review risk assessments for suitability of treatment and level of engagement to inform court recommendations

Qualifications and skills required:

  • Accredited postgraduate qualification in clinical, counselling or forensic psychology conferring eligibility for HCPC registration as a practitioner psychologist; 
  • Knowledge of evidenced based psychological therapies relevant to managing mental health distress  
  • Experience of working with adult mental health services or related areas, i.e. criminal justice services with individuals  from diverse backgrounds 
  • Evidence of clinical leadership responsibilities and supervisory /management responsibilities

We will treat individuals more holistically, focusing on the person and early intervention strategies to reduce risks and improve outcomes.
