We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Primary Care Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP Millsike, a category C Prison located in Full Sutton, East Yorkshire.
HMP Millsike is a newly built prison with an operational capacity of 1500 places. This is a rare opportunity to be part of a new healthcare team from the inception of a brand new prison site. To oversea clinical responsibility of the primary care team consisting of around 6 Nurses and HCA's. Training and development on offer including the Prescribing course which can be offered upon successful probation completed.Hours
37.5 hours a week, working Monday, Tuesday 11.5 hours working 07:15 to 19:45, week1, and week 2, will be Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 11.5 hours, working 07:15 to 19:45. Working alternate weekends 08:15 to 18:00. No nights.
Salary
This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to £49,175 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
As a Senior Primary Care Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will
- Lead a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a nurse led service and prevent hospital admissions
- Undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, attend emergency response situations, assess patients, and undertake reception screening
- Provide outstanding evidence based care to our patients, seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback, so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
- Deliver non-judgemental care that makes a real difference
- Inspire excellence by forging strong links with our partners and stakeholders and providing a service that people can trust, feel safe within, and feel proud of
- Promote best practice, clinical supervision, evidence based care and continuous quality improvement, embedding a culture of shared learning.
- Share knowledge, skills and expertise to ensure safe care, building strong multi-disciplinary teams and supporting each other to do a great job.

Qualifications required:
- Registered nurse Adult
- Current professional qualification (NMC)
- A&E background would be desirable
- Line management experience is essential
- Evidence of Continued Professional Development
- Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working
