We have an exciting opportunity for a Non Medical Prescriber to join our Primary Care Team at HMP Dovegate, a category B Prison located in Uttoxeter in Staffordshire.
HMP Dovegate is a private prison with a capacity of 1060 males As a non-medical prescriber you will be part of a small team of 4 based within the healthcare department, however you were mainly be wing based and other clinical areas within the prison. We require someone who is a non-medical prescriber and ideally has previous experience within substance misuse.- Onsite Parking

Hours
- Full time 37.5 hours a week.
- Monday to Friday - 8am - 4pm
- Alternate Saturday's - 8am - 4pm
Salary
Youll receive an annual salary between £51,643 - £58,012 per annum - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
As a Non Medical Prescriber your responsibilities will vary. You will
- Undertakes Clinical Nursing Practice at an advanced level using expert knowledge and clinical skills to deliver care to patients.
- Provide expert professional advice to patients, carers and colleagues and ensure the maintenance of clinical excellence.
- Provide treatment as required, including prescribing medication, within their sphere of competence.
- Carry out comprehensive assessments of patients looked after.
- Provide advice/support in relation to crisis situations, conditions, and treatment plans, based on medical and treatment history.
- Carry out a clinical review with the patient and update care plans accordingly.

Requirements:
- NMC Registered Adult Nurse / Mental Health
- Non-medical prescribing qualification - Essential
- Experience of working in substance misuse
- Understanding and knowledge of policy developments related to the delivery of primary care services including , Clinical Governance, Quality & Outcomes Framework
- Understanding of evidence based practice
- Evidence of Continuous Professional Development
