Were looking for an experienced and passionate Governance & Quality Manager to lead clinical governance, patient safety and quality improvement across our hospital and UTC. Reporting to the Head of Nursing and Clinical Services and accountable to the Hospital Director, youll play a pivotal role in embedding a strong governance culture that delivers safe, effective and patient-centred care every day.
NB: There will be a requirement for on calls as part of this role.Main duties of the job
- Leading and embedding clinical governance systems to monitor, improve and assure quality and safety
- Overseeing incident management, risk registers, audits and patient safety investigations (PSIRF)
- Acting as the organisational lead for patient experience, ensuring learning from feedback, complaints and incidents drives real improvement
- Supporting CQC compliance, inspections, statutory notifications and quality reporting
- Chairing Clinical Governance meetings and contributing to senior leadership forums
- Leading Infection Prevention & Control governance and assurance
- Line managing and developing the Governance Administrator and Patient Relations Facilitator
- Working collaboratively with clinical and operational leaders to continuously improve outcomes

About us
- A registered healthcare professional (NMC or HCPC) with a relevant degree
- Proven experience in clinical governance, quality improvement and leadership within a hospital setting
- Strong knowledge of patient safety, risk management, audit, complaints handling and regulation (CQC)
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence, lead and inspire multidisciplinary teams
- Data-driven, organised and comfortable using systems such as Datix, MS Office and PowerBI
- A visible, values-led leader who champions safety, learning and excellent patient experience
