Main duties of the job

What youll be doing

In this pivotal role, youll provide visible, supportive leadership across the Outpatient Department and Oral Surgery service. Youll deputise for the Outpatient Manager, lead and motivate the team, and ensure smooth, high-quality patient journeys across a range of specialties. Your work will include service improvement, supporting audits and governance activity, developing staff, and ensuring that safety, communication and patient experience remain at the heart of everything we do. Youll work closely with Oral Consultants, Pre-Assessment teams and wider clinical colleagues to continually enhance our services.

About us

Youll be a Registered Nurse (NMC Part 1) with substantial experience of working & managing in an Outpatient setting. Youll bring excellent communication, organisation and decision-making abilities, and be confident supporting service development and managing a clinical team. A passion for high-quality care, a collaborative approach, and the ability to inspire and develop others will help you excel in this role. Flexibility, professionalism and commitment to patient-centred care are essential.
