 We have an exciting opportunity for two General Practitioners to join our Primary Care team at HMP Foston Hall, a female closed prison based in Derby. HMP Foston Hall houses around 300 patients aged between 18-75 years of age Within this role you will be delivering out of hours receptions clinics for the new intake of patients. This will involve prescribing same day medications, supporting acute illness and injury, as well as creating detox plans for alcohol and opiates misuse. You will be working closely with the multi-disciplinary team, particularly nursing, pharmacy and substance misuse teams.
 Hours Monday 5pm -9pm Wednesday 5pm -9pm Friday 5pm -9pm Sat 1300 - 1600   We are looking for 1 or 2 GP's to complete these sessions 
Salary
 This positions are part time, youll receive an annual salary up to £135,716  per annum FTE- depending on experience.

  Main duties of the job
  Our General Practitioners are extremely valued and are well respected members of the Prison Healthcare community, as a General Practitioner, your responsibilities will vary. You will 
  - Deliver first class healthcare to a diverse group of patients, and therefore as a General Practitioner at Practice Plus Group you get the opportunity to further develop your knowledge in areas you wouldnt usually experience within a practice, or even A&E environment.
- Provide clinical assessment and diagnosis to patients requirements and make timely decisions regarding future management.
- Provide a highly specialist resource to other members of the healthcare team at site, as well as the patients you work with having active
- involvement in clinical governance and effectiveness activities.

Qualifications required   - MBChB or MBBS
- Inclusion on the GMC Register and GP Performers List 
- Evidence of engagement with annual appraisal
- Experience working as a General Practitioner in community general practice
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Ability to work with patients with a history of substance misuse
- RCGP Certificate in Substance Misuse 1 and 2, or prepared to undertake these qualifications
