We have an exciting permanent opportunity for an Advanced Nurse Practitioner at The Junction Health Centre, located directly outside Clapham Junction Train Station. The centre is open 7 days a week, 8am8pm, and were looking for someone to work minimum Friday 8am8pm, with the option to take weekend shifts.
You will be a key member of our team, using your advanced clinical skills to provide autonomous care for patients presenting with acute, undifferentiated, or complex conditions, and/or managing long-term conditions. This is a unique opportunity to develop your clinical expertise in both urgent care and general practice.
You will be required to work within Clinical Guidelines, Policies, Procedures and utilising expert judgment to work outside these frameworks where necessary. You must be able to Prescribe, within professional competence.
This role will be working across both general practice and the hub service on an ad hoc bank basis and you will play an integral role in delivering a high-quality service to patients.
Main duties of the job
Responsibilities
As an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner, youll be vital to the Units success, assessing, diagnosing, treating and discharging patients autonomously every day. As well as ordering investigations and interpreting results, youll be responsible for providing an excellent standard of patient care and health promotion to the general public.
What we'll need from you
- Be an autonomous Nurse Practitioner with a patient assessment qualification and recent work experience within a Primary/Urgent Care environment
- Hold an independent prescribing qualification
- Hold an NMC Pin
- Experience in management long term conditions
