Our Suffolk North East Essex Clinical Assessment Service (CAS) is a vital part of our urgent care network, offering clinical triage and support to patients across the region.
Were currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Rota Administrator to join our Suffolk North East Essex CAS team on a full-time, fixed-term basis for six months. This is a pivotal role within our operational infrastructure, ensuring that clinical rotas are meticulously planned, maintained, and communicated to support seamless service delivery. Youll be working closely with clinical leads, service managers, and a multidisciplinary team to ensure that staffing is optimised and responsive to patient needs.
This role is based within our CAS hub, which operates 24/7 to support patients across Suffolk and North East Essex. The hub is a dynamic environment where collaboration, adaptability, and precision are key. As Rota Administrator, youll be at the heart of our workforce planning, helping to ensure that our clinicians are in the right place at the right time to deliver safe and effective care.
Salary: £12.72 per hour, pro-rated for a 37.5-hour week, equating to £24,786 per annum.
Main duties of the job
As Rota Administrator, youll manage clinical schedules for our Suffolk North East Essex CAS service. Your role ensures clinicians are in the right place at the right time, supporting safe and efficient care delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Creating and updating rotas using scheduling software.
- Liaising with clinicians to confirm availability and manage changes.
- Monitoring staffing levels and flagging gaps.
- Recording leave, sickness, and absences.
- Supporting onboarding of new staff into the rota.Communicating updates clearly to stakeholders.
- Resolving conflicts and adapting to urgent changes.
Youll work in a dynamic environment where priorities shift quickly. Accuracy, flexibility, and strong communication are essential. Occasional out-of-hours support may be required during peak times. Youll be supported by a collaborative team and encouraged to contribute ideas for improvement.
