We have an exciting opportunity for a Mental Health Nurse to join our primary care team at Gatwick IRC, located in Gatwick.

This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to £50,076 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
As a Mental Health Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will
- Work within a multi-disciplinary team carrying out comprehensive assessments, initiating and reviewing care plans, and developing treatment options
- Undertake medication rounds, and assess and treat patients who may have undergone traumatic experiences
- Assess patients health needs using an evidence based framework and be able to risk assess using sound clinical knowledge
- Work with individuals providing advice, support and information and manage a case load of patients
- Monitor therapeutic responses to medication and potential side effects liaising with prescribers as required
- Inspire excellence by forging strong links with our partners and stakeholders

Requirements:
- NMC Registered Mental Health, or Learning Disability Nurse
- Experience of working with patients, face to face, who have complex mental health conditions
- Experience of psychosocial interventions, group work and awareness of substance misuse
- Experience of working with learning disability patients
- Evidence of Continued Professional Development
Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
