Join us at Practice Plus as an Administration Operations Manager at The Junction Health Centre, working full-time (37.5 hours/week) on a permanent basis.

About the Role Were looking for a proactive, forward-thinking Operations Manager to play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence and team development. Youll lead the Administration and Reception teams, act as a key liaison within the wider primary care team, and support both clinical and service management functions. Your leadership will help shape an outstanding patient experience and efficient day-to-day operations.

Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, motivate, and develop the non-clinical team through regular 1-to-1s, performance reviews, and tailored development plans.

  • Provide ongoing coaching and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Manage and resolve patient complaints professionally and promptly.

  • Oversee daily administrative operations, ensuring compliance with Practice Plus policies and healthcare regulations.

  • Act as a point of escalation for complex administrative and reception issues.

  • Support the Service Manager and clinical team in service planning and quality improvement initiatives.

  • Take ownership of health and safety within the practice.

  • Proven people management experience with direct line management responsibilityideally in a healthcare or GP setting.

  •  Strong track record in team leadership, development, and performance management.

  • Skilled in handling complaints with sensitivity and professionalism.

  • Solid understanding of healthcare governance, quality assurance, and operational procedures.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.

  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and thrive under pressure.
