We have an exciting opportunity for a Mental Health Clinical Manager to join our Mental Health team at HMP Lancaster Farms, a category C Prison located in outskirts of Lancaster, Lancashire.
You will manage a team of 11 and be based at Lancaster Farms however you will also manage a team at HMP Kirkham and be able to travel around twice a month. The role is split 80% managerial and 20% clinical. HMP Lancaster Farm consists of 550 males.- Onsite Parking

Hours:
- Monday - Friday 37.5 hours per week
- Core hours
- Occasional weekends as and when required
Salary:
This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary between £46148 -£52500 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
As a Mental Health Clinical Lead, your responsibilities will vary. You will
- Work as part of and lead the Mental Health team within the Integrated Healthcare Services team.
- Provide clinical leadership and management to Registered nurses and allied health professionals.
- Establish inter-agency working where necessary to ensure good communication increases quality of care for patients.
- Ensuring that own clinical practice is consistent with autonomous practice within the role.
- Ensuring all complaints / concerns relating to Mental Health are dealt with in a timely fashion.
- Confirm waiting list are well managed ensuring minimal waiting times for patients
- Medicines management/advice including supporting medicine administration
- Referral to another health professional or service as required.
- Maintain accurate documentation of assessment, planning and treatment of patients.
- Working closely with the Head of Healthcare ensuring that reports and other measures are accurately completed within deadlines.

Qualifications required
- NMC - Mental Health Nurse
- BSc or equivalent qualification
- Experience of providing supervision
- Teaching / Mentoring experience and /or qualification Experience
- Evidence of appropriate continuing professional development activity to maintain up-to-date knowledge and on-going competence in all aspects of the role
Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
