This role is a multi-functional role working across 5 Prison sites HMP Pentonville, HMP Wormwood Scrubs, HMP Belmarsh, HMP Thameside and HMP Brixton. Applicants with non medical prescriber qualifications would be advantageous Hours 37.5 hours across Monday to Friday, this can be worked remotely or at a base site. Salary This position is part time working 37.5 hours per week, youll receive an annual salary up to £75,000 per annum - depending on experience How will we support you? Main duties of the job
As a Regional Lead Pharmacist your responsibilities will vary. You will
- Work as part of the London regional team, leading on the delivery of integrated, safe, high quality and effective pharmacy services across the region.
- Provide aspirational professional leadership for pharmacists, technicians and pharmacy assistants providing expert advice and guidance, promoting best practice in medication use on sites, embedding clinical supervision and ensuring adherence to policies and procedures and statutory frame works.
- Be responsible for the provision and delivery of an integrated, safe, legal, high-quality prison pharmaceutical service. As part of the Regional Senior Leadership Team, working closely with the Head of Healthcare and the multidisciplinary team
- Be responsible for ensuring that the provision of service meets the contractual obligations.
- Provide daily expert advice on pharmaceutical matters and ensuring that a safe but modern medicines management service is provided to prisoners

Qualifications required
- Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
- Vocational Masters Degree in Pharmacy including pre-registration training
- Ability to work effectively across a number of sites providing education, supervision and leadership to teams and colleagues to support service improvement
- Knowledge and application of clinical governance and clinical audit
- Experience of running an effective and responsive pharmacy service
