We have an exciting opportunity for a Neurodiversity Lead to join our Mental Health team at at HMP Foston Hall, a closed category women's Prison and Young Offenders Institution, located in the village of Foston in Derbyshire, England.

There will be lots of support with upskilling and training in this role with the provision you are committed to the role. 

Hours

Monday to Friday 9-5 or 8-4pm, no nights or weekends. 

 Salary

This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to £47,466 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job

As a Neurodiversity Lead, your responsibilities will vary. You will

• Provide direct and/or indirect support for those presenting with neurodiversity/ learning difficulties
• Provide support for those with long-term neurological conditions such as Alzheimers and/or Dementia and will support the IMHT with training in relevant areas.
• Provide guidance to prison colleagues to inform prison plans and improve prisoner management and safety.
• Help shape and inform the neurodiversity and Learning disability pathways within Practice Plus Group and liaise with NHSE colleagues to ensure robust clinical practice

Qualifications required

• Qualified RMN / RGN/ RNLD or an appropriate professional registration
• Must have strong clinical knowledge and experience 
• Evidence of working in a neurodiversity role and with those needs 
• Evidence of 3 years post registration study / continuing professional development e.g. Mentorship in Practice
• Evidence of experience of managing cases & caseloads
