Job summary

We are looking for an experienced Administrator to join our team on a fixed term contract for 9-months.

Our team members are adaptable, friendly, polite and caring. They enjoy working as a team with people from different cultures and backgrounds. 

Based within a busy working environment offering patients a range of diagnostic imaging procedures. Providing a comprehensive, patient-centred clinical administration process along with the other members of the administration team.

Main duties of the job

As our Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of our clinical administration process. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Processing patient referrals and ensuring accurate clinical and demographic information is captured.
  • Managing completed diagnostic reports, forwarding them to referring clinicians and patients.
  • Handling patient and customer queries, directing them to the appropriate team members.
  • Supporting the appointment scheduling process and assisting with data entry.
  • Covering reception duties when required, ensuring a friendly and professional welcome for patients.
  • Ensuring confidentiality and professionalism when handling patient data.

Full training and support will be provided to help you succeed in this role.

  • Previous experience in customer service or a telephone-based role
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • The ability to prioritise tasks and work efficiently under pressure
  • A friendly and professional attitude, ensuring high-quality service for patients
  • Flexibility and a willingness to learn new skills.
  • Desirable but not essential: Experience working in a healthcare setting or familiarity with medical terminology.

Just as important though is your flexibility, belief in teamwork and your ability to use your initiative, follow instructions and prioritise a busy workload.
