We have an exciting opportunity for a Primary Care Clinical Lead to join our Primary Care team at HMP Leeds, a category B Prison located in Gloucester Terrace in the Armley area of Leeds in West Yorkshire.
Free on site parking, free gym, lots of opportunity for additional training with potential to move into a deputy role or within the advanced clinical pathway.
Hours
37.5 hours a week, over 5 days, would consider 4 days. 8-4pm if 5 days or 7-5pm over 4 days. No weekends or nights but might require some very ad-hoc support to shadow the team but not part of their routine duties.
Salary
This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to £55,996 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
As a Primary Care Clinical Lead, your responsibilities will vary. You will
- Provide clinical leadership and management to the registered nurses and care teams.
- Deputise on behalf of the Deputy/Head of Healthcare when required.
- Work closely with partners to maintain a robust, high quality clinical service for patients. Ensure that own clinical practice is consistent with autonomous practice within the role.
- Model a culture of compassion, care, courage, commitment, communication and competence.
- Clinical Lead you will coach, line manage and develop clinician staff; support and contribute in undertaking audits and governance and contribute to developing and reviewing clinical/non clinical Local Operating Protocols for the site.
- Chair and facilitate specific healthcare meetings with the team and different partners, provide clinical supervision (training available) and carry our investigations locally and for the wider region.

Qualifications required:- Registered Nurse Adult Current professional qualification (NMC)
- Evidence of Continued Professional Development
- Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working
- A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
- Existing line management experience and student nurse mentorship
Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
