Nurse / Paramedic Practitioner

Job summary

We are seeking Advanced or Emergency Practitioners from a Nursing/Paramedic background who are committed to working as part of our Urgent Care Team to deliver an excellent and caring service to our patients.   We have a multidisciplinary workforce which consists primarily of Advanced Clinicians and Emergency Practitioners trained in both adult and paediatric disciplines whom are supported by GPs.   If you want to make a difference by becoming a dedicated and compassionate practitioner, then come and join our friendly multidisciplinary team at Southampton UTC led by our Clinical Lead Danny Wroe. We offer a challenging and rewarding experience, striving for excellence in patient safety, quality and continuous improvement.   As part of our commitment to you, we will offer and support your development towards advanced practice under the guidance of a robust competency framework via experiential learning and development. Main duties of the job

The main patient groups are patients with minor injury and minor illness. Patients who present to the Urgent Treatment Centre are managed by our expert team of Practitioners/Clinicians with an undifferentiated diagnosis through a process of assessment, formulation of a clinical management plan and subsequently discharge or transfer for definitive care.   The positions are full-time or part-time. We are a 7 day per week, 365 days per year service and we are looking for Practitioners who can work a variety of shifts including evenings/weekends. Our shifts range from 7.5 hours 12.5 hours and as we understand the need for flexible working, we are also open to discussing hours that suit you. Our remuneration structure is as below:  

Urgent Care Practitioner - up to £57,879 per annum

A fully qualified Practitioner with relevant experience, qualified and educated level 6 or 7 in minor injuries/minor illness.

Senior Urgent Care Practitioner - up to £63,667 per annum

A fully qualified Practitioner with relevant experience, qualified and educated predominantly at level 7 in minor injuries/minor illness with the addition of a non-medical prescribing qualification and a Masters Degree or PG Dip in urgent care.
