We have an exciting opportunity for a Substance Misuse Non Medical Prescriber to join our Substance Misuse team at HMP Stocken, a category C Mens Prison located in Stretton, Rutland.
Hours
Monday - Friday 37.5 hours per week.
Salary
This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary between £49848 - £55996 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
As a Substance Misuse Non Medical Prescriber your responsibilities will vary. You will
- Act within the boundaries of nursing practice to provide patient care encompassing initial history taking
- Clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation
- Demonstrate critical thinking in the application of evidence-based care to support safe clinical decision-making processes in the delivery of expert care.
- You will communicate effectively and work collaboratively with our cross-disciplinary team to meet the needs of patients, reflecting company and prison values and goals and meeting the expectations of our commissioners.

Qualifications required:
- Registered with the NMC as a first level nurse with independent nurse prescribing rights, with area of expertise in substance misuse
- Evidence of Continued Professional Development
- Qualifications supporting your areas of specialist interest in substance misuse (Essential RCGP 1, Desirable RCGP2 or a willingness to work towards
- Enhanced knowledge of national guidelines relating to substance misuse
