We have an exciting opportunity for a Substance Misuse Recovery Team Leader to join us here at HMP Lancaster Farms, a Category C male prison on the outskirts of Lancaster. 

This is a rare opportunity, created due to internal promotion, where you can join us to lead the Substance Misuse Recovery Team. The service offers a broad and diverse range of treatments to patients suffering from a range of substance misuse issues.   

Hours

This is a full time role, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Shifts are 09:00 - 17:00.  

Salary

This is a full time role, and the salary is £42,094 - £47,466, depending on experience.

Main duties of the job

As our new Substance Misuse Team Leader, your responsibilities will vary. Some of your duties will include:

  • Manage the Recovery service onsite, including line management responsibility for 7 Recovery Workers
  • Manage the delivery of a busy and dynamic substance misuse service, providing psychosocial treatment interventions
  • Play a key part within the prison's drug strategy
  • Provide effective leadership to the SMS team, whilst forming part of the Senior Leadership Team onsite
  • Review and improve the service offered to patients, ensuring that the team are delivering a high quality, safe, effective and efficient service to the patients

Our new Substance Misuse Service Team Leader will have:
  • Previous experience as a Recovery Worker
  • Experience of working with individuals who misuse alcohol and substances, with knowledge of the current operating environment within substance misuse
  • Excellent knowledge of the requirements to ensure CQC compliance 
  • A passion for helping patients, and is committed to the growth and development of the service
