We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Newall is a closed-category Prison located in Yorkshire .
HMP Newall is Young Offers and Adult female prison form the age of 18+ and a capacity of 360 women.
The Pharmacy Team consists of, Pharmacy Assistant, Pharmacy Technician and Pharmacist.Hours:
This role is a 37.5 hours per week Monday - Sunday, 4 days out of 7 on a 4 week rolling rota, 11 hours per day with 30 mins lunch. Rota's are done 4 weeks in advance.Salary
This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to £38,115.00 per annum FTE - depending on experience. (

Main duties of the job
As a Pharmacy Technician, your responsibilities will vary. You will
- Provide outstanding quality based patient centred care to our patients seeking out
- Ensuring standard operating procedures are followed to a high and orderly standard
- Deliver non-judgemental care within the scope of professional standards
- Involving anything from the timely administration of medicines through to analysing cost effective prescribing as defined through our unique health in justice medicines policy
- Inspire excellence by forging strong links within our teams, our partners and stakeholders and providing a service that people can trust, feel safe within and feel proud of.
- Promote Best practice, evidence based care and continuous quality improvement embedding a culture of shared learning
- Share Information relating to pharmaceutical products, medicines management, drug regimes, medicines

Qualifications required
- NVQ Level 3, or above, BTEC or equivalent
- Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
- Up to date with Continual Professional Development (CPD)
- Relevant post-qualification pharmacy experience
- General GCSE education or equivalent
- Able to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures
Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
