We have an exciting opportunity for a Porter to join ourteam at HMP Hewell, a category B Prison located in Worcestershire. The prison houses men on remand as well as those who are sentenced and is very busy.
Hours
This role is part time working 18.75 per week over 4 days. We have some flexibility on times that are worked within the business day.Salary
Youll receive an annual salary up to £26,145 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
As a Porter within Health in Justice you will be dealing with patients, healthcare colleagues and other professionals over the phone and face to face and ensure that everyone is working in a tidy healthcare area. The Porter post is a varied role, undertaking a range of delegated portering duties, including unloading, delivery of stock, and any other general tasks required across Prison Healthcare Service. We are looking for individuals who are keen to take on roles with varied duties, supporting the delivery of excellent healthcare to prisoners. You will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrate the ability to work as a team member with a non-judgemental and compassionate approach

Qualifications, skills and experience required
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work within a busy environment
- Ability to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures
- Previous experience of working as a porter is preferable
