Working as part of our Plymouth based team as a Healthcare Assistant, youll, be responsible for coordinating patient lists and activities including teaching, administration, stock control and equipment maintenance.

This position will see you the Healthcare Assistant working on a24/7 inpatient ward with shift patterns as follows;
Day shift 0730-2000 & Night shift 1930-0800Main duties of the job
The main duties for this Ward Healthcare Assistant will be:
To effectively coordinate patient lists ensuring relevant information and details are available and adequate
Assist with administration tasks, (ensuring files and required documentation are kept up to date and accurate
Management of stock control, ensuring good levels, ordering when appropriate, pre-empting any shortfall
Ensuring equipment maintained, clean and fit for purpose, highlighting and documenting any faults
Having already achieved your BLS certificate you will be willing to compete your NVQ level 3 if you havent already and it would be an advantage if you have worked in acute healthcare environment.
More important though is your flexibility, your knowledge of infection control, belief in teamwork and your ability to use your initiative, follow instructions and prioritise a busy workload.
Above all, you have a natural ability to help make the lives of others more fulfilling and want to work in an environment where the work can be hard, but also fun and rewarding.
