As a Senior Mental Health Nurse, working within HMP The Mount you will provide a holistic package of care to patients within the removal centre and manage the assessment of health needs, planning, delivery and evaluation of care including clinical risk assessment. You will ensure that you assess physical and mental health of detainees on admission to the removal centre and throughout their period of detention so that any appropriate referral can be made. You will also be responsible for making a clinical judgement with regard to any immediate need and long term treatment.Main duties of the job
You will be a qualified Registered Nurse (Mental Health) with a real passion for developing your clinical skills in an environment that is ever-changing. Youll have a flexible approach to working within a team that encourages new ideas and opinions on how to improve the service. A driving licence is essential for this role.

About us
The Mount prison originally opened in 1987 as a young offenders institution. It was designed as a Category C training prison built on the site of a former RAF station on the outskirts of Bovingdon village, Hertfordshire.
