Job summary
To provide claims, administrative and large data set management support to the Claims, Insurance and MI Lead. The position offers a degree of autonomy and involves establishing a close working relationship with the Practice Plus Group (PPG) insurance broker, insurers, 3rd party claims administrators, panel solicitors and internal stakeholders.
This is a remote position; however, you will be required to undertake occasional UK travel including to attend PPG sites, internal and external meetings and training. This should usually be completed within the day, although it might occasionally require overnight stays.
You will be expected to meet the Claims, Insurance and MI Lead in person at least once a month and more frequently during the probation period. This is most likely to be in London or Reading.
Main duties of the job
As our Claims and MI Administrator, you will be responsible for;

- Monitoring / triaging incidents from the Datix reporting system: ensuring that insurance notifications are completed and that indemnity providers / the business have site of all incidents / claims that require notification and further action.
- Administration of claims
- Collate and accurately maintain all claims data
- Developing strong relationships with internal colleagues and external professional advisors
- Triage and handle ad hoc queries from the business relating to claims, incidents and requests for information
- Supporting the Claims, Insurance and MI Lead in collating information for insurance renewal
- Process claims invoices and payments
- Filing or correspondence in relation to all matters
