We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Leeds, a category B Prison located in the Armley area of Leeds . The Leeds team adopts an inclusive, compassionate and punctilious attitude towards each other and their patients. Leeds is an unpredictable, fast paced environment where care is provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
This position is part time role working 22.5 hours per week, youll receive an annual salary up to 38,115 FTE per annum - depending on experience.Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK on a permanent basis and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.
Main duties of the job
As a Pharmacy Technician in the medicines management team your responsibilities will vary. You will

Assist with the provision and delivery of an integrated, safe, legal, high-quality prison pharmaceutical service, taking into consideration, at all times, the need to maintain a high level of security.

Be required to work within the healthcare department and hold direct patient contact, which will be part be of a comprehensive healthcare package, based on the prison services needs.

Be an integral member of the Medicines Management team, which forms part of the wider cluster of Healthcare Services. Practice Plus Group policies and procedures and statutory frameworks governing patient care in a prison setting, will be used in order to deliver the highest standard of care to clients in line with National Guidelines.

Qualifications required
- NVQ Level 3, or above, BTEC or equivalent
- Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
- Up to date with Continual Professional Development (CPD)
- Relevant post-qualification pharmacy experience
- General GCSE education or equivalent
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures
- Good IT skills and IT literacy
- Able to work within a busy environment
