Job summary

Are you an experienced Administrator with a customer focused approach? Then we could have just the role for you. We are looking for a Private Patient Coordinator to join our team. Our focus at all times is on ensuring that our patients receive high quality treatment quickly, in clean and comfortable surroundings. Practice Plus Group Hospital, Shepton Mallet has been rated Outstanding by the CQC*, putting it at the very top of the regulators quality ratings.   Working as a member of the private patient team to provide a comprehensive customer service role, ensuring that all patientcare dealt with in a professional, courteous and empathetic manner.  As the main point of contact for private pay and insured patients throughout their pathway from first appointment through to discharge, providing excellent customer service and building rapport with patients to ensure their experience is positive.   Shifts for this role are Monday - Friday 9am-5pm with the occasional Saturday shift   To see what its like working for the Practice Plus Group, please see the video below:  

Main duties of the job

You will be the main point of contact for self-pay and insured patients throughout their pathway from first appointment to discharge, providing excellent customer service and building report with patients to ensure their experience is positive.

You will carry out a concierge service to all private patients. This is a face to face service implemented to improve the private patient pathway and customer service offering. The service is focused on providing a personalised experience, working to make sure that every patient feels supported, unburdened and welcomed from the time they step foot into the hospital.

Provide advice in all matters relating to the patients appointments and keep them up to date every step of their journey, both in person and over the telephone.

Collecting patient medical history and any other relevant clinical information by liaising with GP surgeries

You will use a customer relationship management tool to manage the patient pathway. Keeping the tool up to date and making sure all fields are complete.

Working with the Health-code system to keep consultant profiles up to date and collect pre-authorisation numbers for insured patients

Liaising with Private Medical Insurance companies to collect patient treatment pre-authorisation codes
