As the Head of Healthcare you will be responsible for the pro-active general management of the healthcare establishment, maintaining the strategic direction and delivering the agreed contractual requirements and targets and managing the unit within its financial framework. Maintaining agreed standards of service, and leading, motivating and developing staff. This role also includes responsibility for all aspects of personnel, financial reporting, IM&T and general management of the healthcare establishment and being the CQC Registered Manager.

Main duties of the job

You will be able to provide evidence of your strong and compassionate leadership ability and have undertaken management training. With experience of working within governance frameworks and of effectively managing teams including HR processes.     Interested in professional development?

Youll receive an annual salary up to 70,000 per annum - depending on experience,10% Bonus and 4,000 car allowance.

About us

HM Prison Thameside is a local category B resettlement prison in the Thamesmead area of the Royal Borough of Greenwich, South-East London and is situated next to HMP Belmarsh. HMP Thameside is Londons only private prison and can currently hold 1232 convicted and remand male prisoners.  

The dedicated team in the Health in Justice division of Practice Plus Group make a real difference across over 45 prisons, young offenders and immigration removal centres.
