You will be required to support the delivery of Pharmacy Services which will be part be of a comprehensive healthcare package offered within HMP Lewes. Working within the on-site dispensary and on the prison wings, you can expect to be involved in everything from the dispensing process, medicines management, administering medications, patient counselling and medicines reconciliation etc.    Youll be able to demonstrate the ability to use your own initiative and have sound patient counselling skills, treating patients with respect and dignity at all times, adopting a culturally sensitive approach.

Main duties of the job

You will hold NVQ Level 3, BTEC, or equivalent qualifications and have current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC). You will also have relevant post-qualification experience working within a pharmacy environment and multi-disciplinary team.   Interested in professional development?

About us

Practice Plus Group is a specialist provider of NHS services into prison healthcare across over 45 different prisons, young offenders and immigration removal centres. The prison population is one of the most vulnerable and challenged patient groups in society and the delivery of their health care is conducted within often difficult and demanding environments. HMP Lewes is a local category B mens prison for those on remand to local courts, sentenced and those awaiting release.
