An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Healthcare Assistant to join our friendly and supportive GP Practice for 37.5 hours per week. We are looking for an experienced Health Care Assistant with knowledge of working within general practice to work at The Junction Health Centre located in Wandsworth SW11 2NU (next to Clapham Junction Train Station).
Working under the supervision of the clinical team, you would support the practicenursing and administrative teams in the delivery of clinical and administrativeservices, working as part of the practice multi-disciplinary team, deliveringcare within their scope of practice to the entitled patient population.You would deliver and assist clinical staff in the provision of treatment, preventative care, health promotion and patient education whilst also supporting the administrative team on an as-required basis. Also, ensure all care is provided in accordance with company policies.
A key part of the role is your relationship with patients, and as such you would be able to discuss health problems with them, offering advice for dietary needs, smoking and alcohol. Using this information, you would be able to assist in assessment of their wellbeing and promoting health awareness.Main duties of the job
The ideal candidate will have minimum of 1 year experience within General Practice or Primary Care setting, be adaptable, highly motivated and relish a challenge. You will be part of a dynamic and innovative team who value teamwork, professional practice, mutual support and a friendly working environment. Healthcare certificate is essential, and knowledge of Emis Web system an advantage.
The post holder will work under the supervision of the Lead GP and Nurse to provide patient care.
