About the role

We believe in putting the patient first, regardless of the environment or their history. The prison population is one of the most vulnerable and challenged patient groups in society, and the delivery of their health care is conducted within often difficult and demanding environments. 

As our Podiatry assistant you will provide outstanding evidence based care, working with and without direct supervision or presence of a podiatrist.  Acting on patient feedback and inform the podiatrist of any change in the patients condition so that treatment plans can be re-evaluated.

 

Main duties of the job

We are looking for:

Someone who has completed a SOCAP Podiatry Assistant course with evidence of relevant experience working in a similar position as well as -

  • Having a non-judgmental and compassionate approach
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good IT skills and IT literacy
  • Flexible attitude to working arrangements
  • Willing to learn and develop and being committed to self-development
  • Have patient centred values
