Supported by our experienced Outpatient Manager Debbie, you will ensure that arrangements are in place to facilitate a smooth pre and post-operative course, including a well-planned discharge. This will include taking full medical histories, carrying out patient assessments, ensuring that they are medically fit for surgery and working closely with the anaesthetic team.
Main duties of the job
As an NMC registered Nurse, you will have recent experience gained in an outpatient or pre-assessment environment and orthopaedic experience while not essential would be beneficial. Your ability to work well as part of a multidisciplinary team, your excellent communication skills and your commitment to the provision of high quality patient care will be valued at Practice Plus Group. You'll work four 9.5 hour shifts a week including occasional weekends. There are no nights and the department closes at 18.00. The bonus is paid in two parts, 500 at the end of your first month of employment and 1500 after 6 months of employment conditional on successful completion of a probation period.
