Job summary

Assisting the registered practitioner in the risk assessment and delivery of immediate and, where appropriate, ongoing care for patients referred to the mental health team. You'll support patients to access care and treatment appropriately within the prison setting, working independently with lone working at times. Within the role you'll bring your proven mental health experience to this role, assisting with the delivery of mental healthcare needs, including health promotion. There are great opportunities for training and development and the opportunity to work with interesting patients and learn new skills.

Main duties of the job

To be successful in the role you will have experience of working within a Primary Care setting, including GP surgeries, hospitals and working within a multi-disciplinary team. Having excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must. Youll hold an NVQ 2/3 in Health and Social Care and must have a willingness to undertake training in Mental Health Awareness, suicide prevention, self-harm, and ACCT procedures as well as Health Promotion and screening.   Youll receive an annual salary up to 23,000 per annum - depending on experience.
