We are seeking motivated and skilled Endoscopy Nurse/ODPs to join our dedicated team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a modern, high-quality facility focused on delivering safe, timely, and compassionate care.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-standard nursing care during endoscopic procedures (e.g. colonoscopy, gastroscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy)
- Support patients through their procedure journey, ensuring dignity and comfort
- Assist endoscopists during procedures, managing equipment and patient monitoring
- Take an active role in infection prevention, equipment care, and recovery monitoring
- Support and mentor junior staff and contribute to service improvement
Essential Requirements
- Registered Nurse/Operating Department Practitioner (NMC/HCPC Registration required)
- Minimum 6 months recent experience in endoscopy nursing
- Proven ability to work in fast-paced procedural environment
- Competent in admission, recovery, and assisting with procedures
- Sound knowledge of JAG standards and clinical governance in endoscopy

Main duties of the job
Professional/Clinical
1. Provide the delivery of evidence based nursing care by providing expert clinical assessment, care planning, care delivery, care evaluation and clinical advice in accordance with NMC/HCPC Code of Professional Conduct.
2. Ensure all records relating to patient care are accurate, clear, concise, legible and in accordance with the NMC/HCPC Standards for Records and Record Keeping.
3. Actively assess and manage risk within the clinical area.
4. Ensure adherence to BMSG Medicines Management Policy and the NMC/HCPC Standards for the Administration of Medicines.
5. Participate in audits of practice.
6. Participate in the teaching and supervision of other members of staff.
7. Support the Clinical Governance systems to delivering high quality of care.
8. Assist the Operational Managers in achieving budget control and order supplies when necessary.
9. Participate in personal development reviews for junior staff if required.
10. Work in accordance with the NMC code of professional conduct.
