Evolve Psychology Services

Clinical Support Assistant

The closing date is 28 August 2025

Job summary

We are looking for a Clinic Support Worker to join our team. This role is key to ensuring the smooth running of our clinic operations and supporting both our clients and clinicians. Regular travel to educational settings for the purpose of observation and occasional travel to other Evolve sites may be required.

Main duties of the job

As a Clinic Support Worker, you will play a key role in completing our MDT neurodevelopmental assessments. Duties include administering elements of the assessment, such as Qb testing, conducting school interviews to gather detailed information, and observing children in their school settings. You will write detailed reports and records following assessments and present findings verbally within multidisciplinary meetings. You will also help maintain clinic organisation and provide general administrative support. This is a hands-on role requiring strong communication, analytical thinking, teamwork, effective report writing, and a proactive approach to client care.

This role may appeal to candidates seeking a career in the caring professions (e.g. Clinical Psychology, Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy) as it offers invaluable experience of working alongside a range of disciplines and understanding different roles.

Responsibilities:

  • Support clinic operations, including facilitating and administering parts of neurodevelopmental assessments (Qb administration, school calls, observations, summarising questionnaires).

  • Assist clinicians with equipment needs and setting up clinics.

  • Record and manage information accurately and efficiently.

  • Liaise with other professionals to gather assessment information.

  • Provide general administrative and operational support to the clinical team.

About us

At Evolve Psychology, we do things differently. Founded in 2014 by Dr Laura Powling, our mission is to combine care, connection, empathy, and clinical excellence with no compromise. What began as a small practice delivering expert witness and neurodevelopmental assessments has grown into a national independent psychology service, providing NHS-funded assessments across the UK and, since 2023, in Dublin. We are clinician-founded and led, fully registered with HCPC and affiliated with the British Psychological Society, CORU, PSI, and the Royal College of Speech & Language Therapists. Our award-winning multidisciplinary team of over 100 experts specialises in autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and dyscalculia assessments for children, young people, and adults. We prioritise evidence-based, person-centred care that supports the whole individual, not just a diagnosis, and offer clinicians opportunities to contribute to training, research, and neuro-inclusive initiatives. Guided by compassion, clarity, and integrity, we are growing sustainably, with clinics across the UK and Ireland and a commitment to high-quality, meaningful impact in every service we provide.

About Evolve Psychology

At Evolve Psychology, we do things differently. Founded in 2014 by Dr Laura Powling, Evolve Psychology began with a bold aim to redefine what clinical and forensic psychology means in practice. Lauras vision was simple yet powerful, to bring care, connection, empathy and clinical excellence together, with no compromise.

What started as a small practice delivering expert witness and neurodevelopmental assessments has blossomed into a national independent psychology service. We earned our first NHS contract in 2021, launched satellite clinics to streamline access, and rolled out neurodevelopmental services to families across the UK.

We are clinicianfounded and clinicianled, proudly registered with HCPC and affiliated with the British Psychological Society. We are also award-winning, a testament to the dedication and quality of our multidisciplinary team of over 100 experts.

What sets Evolve Psychology apart?

  • Founded and led by Dr Laura Powling, a Consultant Clinical Psychologist with 18+ years experience across NHS, forensic, and neurodevelopmental services, bringing deep clinical insight and hands-on leadership to everything we do.
  • We specialise in autism, ADHD, dyslexia and dyscalculia assessments for children, young people and adults offering a high-quality, person-centred service backed by NHS contracts and available via Right to Choose across the UK.
  • We prioritise clinical quality and real impact, not speed or scale at the expense of care. Our assessments are evidence-based, multidisciplinary, and designed to support the whole person, not just produce a diagnosis.
  • We offer more than assessment work. Our clinicians can contribute to the Evolve Skills & Research Academy, developing training, shaping neuroinclusive content, or collaborating on research, all part of our broader mission to raise awareness and improve support for neurodivergent individuals, educational institutions and workplaces.
  • We have a strong, values-led culture. Compassion, clarity, and integrity guide everything we do, from our team interactions to the way we support families.
  • Were growing sustainably, with purpose. With clinics across the UK and Ireland, a growing digital presence, and a multidisciplinary team of 100+ experts, Evolve is expanding with care, always keeping quality at the centre.

The role

At Evolve Psychology Services, we equip our clinicians with cutting-edge tools and support to help them focus on what matters most: delivering exceptional care to children, young people and their families.

You will join a passionate and supportive multidisciplinary team dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people. Our service specialises in high-quality, evidence-based assessments for autism and ADHD, delivered through both NHS-funded referrals and private pathways. As part of your role, you will be ensuring the smooth running of our clinic operations and supporting both our clients and clinicians. Regular travel to educational settings for observations, as well as occasional travel to other Evolve sites, may be required.

You will be responsible for:

  • Supporting clinic operations, including facilitating and administering elements of the assessment process (such as Qb testing, calls to schools, school observations, and summarising school questionnaires).
  • Administering and managing assessment-related equipment and assisting clinicians with setting up clinics.
  • Recording and managing information accurately and efficiently in line with clinical and organisational requirements.
  • Liaising with schools and other professionals to gather and summarise detailed assessment information.
  • Writing clear and accurate reports and records following assessments.
  • Presenting assessment information verbally within multidisciplinary team meetings.
  • Assisting with the smooth running of the clinic and providing general administrative and operational support to the clinical team.

Our Ways of Working:

  • Digital workflows and smart report-writing reduce admin time and enhance clinical impact.
  • A custom-built electronic health record system, developed in-house using market leading research
  • Continuously enhancing internal systems, based on employee feedback to improve efficiency
  • Ongoing training and onboarding to ensure confidence in all tech and systems
  • In-house IT and operational support, so you're never left troubleshooting alone

Qualifications and experience

  • GCSE English and Maths grade 4-9
  • A university degree or equivalent academic qualification
  • Previous experience working in health, social care, or education preferred.
  • Experience supporting children or adults with learning difficulties, autism, or in a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) environment preferred.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A compassionate and professional approach to working with clients and families.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Well-developed written language skills
  • Driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK

Why work with Evolve?

Be part of a supportive, purpose-driven team dedicated to transforming neurodevelopmental care across the UK. At Evolve, we offer:

  • A values-led culture where clinical excellence, compassion, and staff wellbeing come first.
  • Continued professional development, clinical supervision, and reflective practice to support the ongoing development of your clinical skills.
  • Competitive salary based on experience, with annual salary reviews and pension contributions.
  • Generous leave entitlement, including 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays - and a day off for your birthday.
  • Private healthcare to support your physical and mental health.
  • A company laptop and on-call IT support to enable seamless remote working.
  • Opportunities to contribute beyond clinical work through the Evolve Skills & Research Academy, including training and research.
  • Company events
  • Access to a collaborative, multidisciplinary team passionate about improving outcomes for neurodivergent individuals and their families.

This may be a role that would appeal to candidates seeking a career in the caring professions (e.g. Clinical Psychology, Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy) as it will give you invaluable experience of working alongside a range of disciplines and an understanding of different roles.
