Main duties of the job
Oversee day-to-day clinical delivery of autism assessments for adults, maintaining high standards of care and diagnostic integrity.
- Conduct and supervise complex assessments using standardised tools such as ADOS-2 and ADI-R.

Maintain clinical oversight of caseloads and ensure timely, person-centred diagnostic outcomes.

Produce high-quality reports with clear, tailored recommendations.

Provide supervision, mentoring, and clinical guidance to junior team members.

Main duties of the job
As Clinical Lead for Adults, you will:
- Oversee the day-to-day clinical delivery of autism assessments for adults, ensuring high standards of care and diagnostic accuracy.
- Conduct and supervise complex, specialist diagnostic assessments using recognised tools.
- Maintain oversight of caseloads and clinical progress, ensuring assessments are timely, clinically sound, and person-centred.

- Provide supervision, clinical guidance and mentoring to junior and newly inducted clinicians.
- Chair regular multidisciplinary team (MDT) discussions and case conferences.

Key responsibilities:
- Lead clinical oversight for all adult autism assessment cases within your team.
- Support operational planning and logistics with the ND admin team to ensure clinical and service needs are met.
- Contribute one dedicated day per week to service leadership and development activities.
- Mentor new team members and promote clinical consistency and confidence in assessment practice.
- Troubleshoot service issues (e.g., staffing gaps, complex cases) and escalate appropriately.
- Develop and refine assessment protocols and resources in collaboration with senior management.
- Identify and address training and professional development needs across the team.
Qualifications
- HCPC registered Practitioner Psychologist, Speech and Language Therapist, Occupational Therapist or
- NMC registered nurse or
- Neurodevelopmental practitioner experience with specialist training as below
- Must be eligible to work in the UK
- Experience in conducting diagnostic Neurodevelopmental/ Specialist developmental assessments with children and/ or adults
- Experience working with children and/ or adults with neurodevelopmental disorders or mental health difficulties in a clinical setting
- Knowledge of DSM-5 diagnostic criteria and appropriate assessment tools for Autism and ADHD
- Knowledge of differential diagnosis
