As a Mammographer, you will: Deliver a high-quality diagnostic imaging service for a varied caseload Work with leading practitioners in the department, on the ward and in theatre Experience new practices, equipment and facilities Develop policies, procedures and junior colleagues See each patient as an individual and operate with understanding and empathy Provide a service of the highest quality, with sensitivity and compassion

The Radiology department is a small but busy department covering general radiographic procedures, theatre, ultrasound, MRI and CT. As a Mammographer at our Derby Hospital, you'll bring advanced technical knowledge and the ability to work quickly and accurately. You have a great eye for detail and you're caring by nature. As well as a BSC degree in diagnostic radiography (or equivalent), you have a postgraduate qualification in an area of specialisation. As a Mammographer, you will:

  • Deliver a high-quality diagnostic imaging service for a varied caseload
  • Work with leading practitioners in the department, on the ward and in theatre
  • Experience new practices, equipment and facilities
  • Develop policies, procedures and junior colleagues

  • High levels of technical knowledge and the ability to work quickly and accurately, with a great eye for detail.
  • A caring nature - to see each patient as an individual and carry out this role with understanding and empathy.
  • A BSC degree in diagnostic radiography or equivalent to meet the registration requirements of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • A postgraduate qualification in mammography
  • Post registration experience relevant to the role.
  • Excellent communication and team working abilities.
