Main duties of the job

As a Senior CT / MRI Radiographer, you will: Have a postgraduate qualification and/ or high levels of technical knowledge and experience (desirable) Have experience in a wide variety of MRI and CT scans, including Cardiac MRI and/or Cardiac CT (desirable) Have experience with GE MRI and GE CT scanners (desirable) Have an understanding and empathetic approach to patients and staff alike. Be respectful towards all individuals , including staff patients and visitors. Supervise and develop junior colleagues Ensure a service of the highest quality is delivered with sensitivity and compassion Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork abilities Have a proactive and forward-thinking approach to work Competency in intravenous cannulation and administration of contrast media is essential

As a Senior CT and MRI Radiographer at our Derby Hospital, you'll have a BSC degree in diagnostic radiography (or equivalent), a postgraduate qualification and high levels of technical knowledge. Ideally, you'll also have Radiation Protection Supervisor training and qualification, as well as the ability to work accurately and compassionately. As a Senior CT / MRI Radiographer, you will:

  • Participate in departmental audits and Quality Assurance programme
  • Provide support to the Clinical Lead Radiographers.
  • Ensure equipment is safe and fit for purpose and can report faults in line with Nuffield Health Policy
  • Provide input to the review, update and implementation of departmental policy and procedures
